Why we exist

Mission

To bridge the funding gap for veteran entrepreneurs and the operators they work with, through disciplined, accessible financing that helps their businesses launch and grow.

Veteran entrepreneurs often need start-up capital to meet the equity requirements of SBA and bank lenders, or a short-term capital injection to keep a project moving. The amounts are often too small or too fast for institutions. We fill that gap, and we bring the same planning, risk management and accountability we practiced as Marine officers to every deal.

Why "3-6"? Our name comes from 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines, the infantry battalion where we both served in our first active-duty unit and where we met.

Integrity

We put terms in writing, explain them plainly, and do what we said we would.

Discipline

Every loan is underwritten, every draw is verified, and the downside is planned for before the deal closes.

Service

We favor partners who build and improve their communities, and we look for ways to bring other veterans along.

  1. 01

    Borrower

Track record, completed projects and entity documents reviewed. Background check for every new operator.

    Property value

After-repair value set from recent, comparable renovated sales. Single-family and 1–4 unit residential only.

  3. 03

    Loan size

Purchase, renovation and soft costs, never above 80% of after-repair value.

  4. 04

    Renovation scope

Line-item budget and scope of work reviewed against the value assumptions, with a realistic contingency.

  5. 05

    Exit

Resale plan checked against the local submarket, with a backup plan if the sale takes longer.

  6. 06
